Meet the People Behind Your Dental Care in Port Macquarie and Lake Cathie
Updated: Oct 4
When you are looking for a dentist in Port Macquarie or Lake Cathie, qualifications and experience matter. But when you are sitting in the dental chair, something else matters just as much.
You want to feel that the person looking after you cares.
At Mid North Coast Dental Centres, our practitioners bring together different backgrounds, experience and clinical interests. Our dentists care for everything from everyday family dentistry to more complex dental needs, while dental prosthetist Mr Sam Dias works closely with our dentists in creating and restoring smiles.
What brings them together is much simpler:
Our Family Cares for Yours.
It means listening before treating. Explaining what is happening. Understanding that some people are nervous about visiting the dentist. And remembering that behind every smile is a person who may be in pain, worried about their teeth, bringing their child for a first appointment, or simply trying to stay healthy.

These are the people behind the dental care our Mid North Coast community can count on.
When You Want to Smile, Eat and Live with Confidence Again
For Dr Molham Alboine, dentistry is closely connected to quality of life.
With more than 25 years of dental experience, his clinical interests include restoring the function and appearance of smiles through dental implants, crowns, veneers, bridges and dentures. He also leads the JAWS+ clinic, caring for patients experiencing concerns associated with teeth grinding, clenching and TMJ.
But the philosophy behind his work is deeply human. Restoring a tooth is not simply about the tooth itself. It can mean being able to eat comfortably again, speak confidently, smile in a photograph or simply stop thinking about your teeth every day.
That combination of clinical experience and genuine interest in the person is an important part of the care our patients receive.
For the Patient Who Is Nervous About Coming Through the Door
Sometimes the hardest part of seeing a dentist is making the appointment.
Dr Benhur Lingamneni, known to many patients as Dr Ben, understands that. His calm approach can be particularly reassuring for people who feel nervous or anxious about dental treatment.
With more than 16 years of experience across public and private dentistry in Australia, Dr Ben has a strong clinical interest in wisdom teeth and surgical extractions, as well as caring for patients experiencing jaw pain, clenching and TMJ concerns through JAWS+. He also provides everyday dental care for adults and children.
Away from dentistry, he is a dad, keen cook and active member of the local community.
It is perhaps one reason his approach feels so grounded. Dentistry is healthcare, but it is also people looking after people.
When a Tooth Hurts and You Just Want Someone to Help
Dental pain has a way of taking over everything.
Eating becomes difficult. Sleeping can become difficult. Concentrating on work can become difficult. And uncertainty about what is causing the pain can make it even more stressful.
This is where Dr Mohamed Dardeer's clinical interest in root canal treatment and the diagnosis of dental and facial pain becomes particularly important.
Dr Dardeer's approach focuses on identifying the source of the problem and, where clinically appropriate, preserving the natural tooth. His experience includes root canal treatment and re-treatment, traumatic tooth injuries and complex dental or facial pain.
His calm manner, attention to detail and willingness to explain what is happening can also help patients understand their options.
For someone arriving at the dentist in pain, that reassurance matters.
Different Dentists, One Philosophy of Care
Dr Nael Malik, Dr Roshan Abraham add further depth to the group of dentists caring for patients across Mid North Coast Dental Centres. Both bring their experience in general dentistry to the everyday dental needs of individuals and families.
Dr Ahmed Al-Zubaidi brings a gentle, thoughtful approach to general dentistry, with a particular interest in oral surgery and complex extractions. He takes time to listen and explain each step, helping patients feel reassured and confident in their care.
And our newest dentist, Dr Sanaa Hanna, brings another dimension to the practice.
Sanaa believes dentistry should help people feel comfortable, cared for and confident about their smile. Her calm, thoughtful approach is particularly suited to patients who may feel apprehensive about dental visits, and she has a particular interest in caring for children.
For families, those early experiences can matter. Helping children become comfortable with dental visits can support a positive relationship with looking after their teeth as they grow.
Different practitioners bring different strengths, but the person sitting in the dental chair remains at the centre of their care.
The Craftsmanship Behind the Smile
And then there is another important person behind many of the smiles we help restore.
Mr Sam Dias is a dental prosthetist, and his work brings together technical precision, craftsmanship and an understanding that every smile is individual.
Sam works closely with our dentists to custom tailor dental prosthetics and restorations for patients, including dentures, crowns and implant-related work, as well as custom-made mouthguards.
This collaboration is an important part of restorative dental care.
A crown isn't simply a crown. A denture isn't simply a replacement for missing teeth. How something fits, functions and works with the person's existing teeth, face and smile all need to be considered.
That is why having practitioners who can work together matters.
The dentist considers the patient's oral health and treatment needs. Sam brings his technical knowledge and craftsmanship to the restoration itself. Together, the focus is on creating something tailored to the individual patient.
Because behind every restoration is a person who wants to eat, talk and smile with confidence.
The Confidence of Having Strong Practitioners Behind Your Care
No one should need to understand the different branches of dentistry before deciding who to call.
You may simply know that your tooth hurts.
That you have broken a tooth.
That your dentures no longer feel right.
That you are worried about your child's teeth.
That you have been putting off your check-up.
Or that you want to know what can be done about your smile.
Having a group of practitioners with different experience and clinical interests means there are people within Mid North Coast Dental Centres who can work together when a patient's needs require it.
That is one of the strengths we are most proud to offer our community.
Your Dentists in Port Macquarie and Lake Cathie
For us, being part of the community means being here for the routine appointments as well as the unexpected ones.
At our Port Macquarie dental clinic, patients can access general and family dentistry, emergency dental care, restorative and cosmetic treatments, dental implants, wisdom teeth treatment, root canal treatment and care for jaw pain, clenching and TMJ concerns. Our Port Macquarie clinic is open seven days a week, with same-day appointments available for urgent dental concerns where possible.
Our Lake Cathie dentists provide care closer to home for individuals and families, from routine check-ups and preventive care through to restorative and cosmetic dentistry and help when something goes wrong.
Two locations. Experienced practitioners. Different strengths. One shared philosophy of care.
Because You Are More Than the Tooth We Are Treating
People come to us for many different reasons.
Sometimes it is a child's first check-up.
Sometimes it is a toothache that appeared overnight.
Sometimes someone has avoided the dentist for years because they are frightened or embarrassed.
Sometimes someone wants to enjoy eating comfortably again.
And sometimes a person simply wants to smile without thinking twice about it.
Whatever brings you through our doors, we want you to feel heard, understand your options and feel comfortable asking questions about your care.
Modern dentistry gives us remarkable technology, materials and treatment options. But technology alone cannot reassure someone who is nervous. It cannot listen. It cannot understand why restoring a particular smile means so much to the person behind it.
People do.
And behind Mid North Coast Dental Centres are practitioners who bring together experience, knowledge, craftsmanship and, importantly, a genuine commitment to the people they care for.
They live and work here too. They care for local families. And they are here to help our community look after its smiles through the different stages of life.
Our Family Cares for Yours.
